Job description
What The Role Is

The People & Culture department works closely with key stakeholders to deliver People & Culture solutions and best practices that support the business goals of the Council.

Learning And Development

What you will be working on
  1. Lead to map out NAC’s overall training roadmap including secure training partners and resources and improve NAC’s Learning & Development Intranet page so that it becomes a more useful resource for staff to take greater ownership of their own development.
  2. Support NAC functional competency mapping exercise, where needed – working with departments to map out relevant FCs, proficiency levels, planning and executing comms and staff engagement.
  3. Work with the training ops rep and Data & Research to identify ways to automate NAC’s training tracking through RPA. To look into applying data analytics to analyse NAC’s training gaps and recommend process improvements where needed.
  4. Oversee NAC’s overall Learning and Development Budget.
  5. Support training ops, when needed.
Organisation Transformation
  1. Co-drive employee engagement efforts through organising (or coorganising) WoNAC events (e.g. Staff Conference / GSM / ASF), working with the team on smaller-scale engagement efforts (e.g. CE dialogue sessions), to build OneNAC culture and associated internal comms efforts (e.g. EDMs etc).
  2. Co-drive NAC’s EES intervention efforts which includes monitoring actions to be done by departments, as well as P&C and making recommendations of changes to keep these interventions on track.
  3. Collaborate with the manager to implement an effective internal communications strategy.
  4. Create engaging content for various internal communication channels (e.g., EDMs, intranet articles, newsletters).
  5. Support employer branding initiatives, working closely with the manager to strengthen NAC's reputation as an employer of choice.
  6. Assist in organising and managing staff engagement platforms and events.
What We are Looking For
  1. Degree with at least 1 year of working experience in communications, human resource development and/or organisation development; with experience in corporate communications and managing stakeholders.
  2. An excellent communicator with strong writing skills and high standards of accuracy.
  3. Ability to develop professional, clear and concise communications materials.
  4. Experience with design software (e.g. Canva, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator) and video editing software (e.g. iMovie) is highly preferred.
  5. Experience in formulating or implementing internal communication strategy is highly preferred.
  6. Highly driven, proactive and a strong team player.
