This role sits within the Policy, Regulation & Competition Development (PRCD) Group. PRCD is at the forefront of policy and regulatory thinking, where policies and frameworks facilitate the deployment of digital infrastructure, encourage innovation, and support the growth of Singapore’s digital economy. PRCD also builds an inclusive society and addresses emerging threats and challenges in the digital domain. This role is responsible for policy and operational planning and execution for Singapore’s international connectivity in the area of submarine cables. This includes long-term policy planning for submarine cable landing and resource allocation, facilitation of submarine cable licensing and landing, and engagement with local agencies and international counterparts to facilitate deployment, maintenance and repair of submarine cables. This is in support of IMDA’s vision of a building a vibrant, world class info-communications sector that drives the Digital Economy.
Background in Economics, Public Policy, Engineering, Business, or related-areas. Minimum 2 years of experience and those with prior experience in the infocomm industry, and/or knowledge of regulatory concepts and frameworks would be an advantage. Candidates with no prior experience may also apply.
