What the role is:
The Global Office (GO) team oversees the coordination of government-to-government youth relations and provides youth leaders with opportunities for representation at international and regional platforms. It also oversees the Asia-Ready Exposure Programme (AEP) which empower youth to be Asia-ready by providing broad-base opportunities for meaningful exposure to ASEAN member states, China and India (ACI), and strengthening their competencies in building friendships and networks within the region. Through the various initiatives, GO supports NYC’s thrust in developing outstanding youth with informed perspectives, awareness of global and regional issues, and a heart for Singapore.
What you will be working on:
As the Assistant Manager/ Manager (Global Office), you will support the team in fostering good relationships with local and overseas youth counterparts for strengthening regional youth cooperation, imbuing youths with a greater awareness of the region and global community as well as equipping them with the necessary competencies to engage meaningfully within Asia. The role will focus on grant management and data management.You will be expected to:• Handle grant administration and stakeholder management to support collaborations.• Support the programme leads in the planning, coordination and implementation of international youth programmes, including the Asia-Ready Exposure Programme and Bilateral Youth Leaders Exchange Programmes with key countries.• Coordinate with local and international counterparts to facilitate access to multilateral youth platforms.• Conduct data analysis to provide insights on international programmes to support the realisation of desired youth outcomes• Support the team in managing and onboarding new systems and platforms for knowledge and data management for backend processes and international youth programmes.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for individuals who possess the following competencies:• Possess good analytical, writing and communication skills• Self-motivated, resourceful, meticulous and high learning agility• Team player with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work in cross-functional teams and with diverse key partners• Knowledge of and interest in youth sector and international relations• Proven ability to handle stakeholders, partner relations and project development• Relevant experience in functional areas such as grant management, data analysis, system management or content development, is preferred• Bilingual and conversant in a foreign language would be advantageous.
