Job description

We’re Hiring: Assistant Manager / Manager, Community Engagement (Content)
Contract Duration: 12 months (Starting Sep 2025)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (42 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

Content Track:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to create and optimise content for the Singapore Government Developer Portal.

  • Translate technical concepts into engaging narratives for varied audiences (e.g. digital leaders, engineers, public officers).

  • Apply SEO best practices and tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Ahrefs).

  • Plan and write for multiple digital platforms, while developing content templates to enhance user experience.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, communications).

  • Remain open to feedback and adapt quickly within deadlines.

  • Stay updated on industry trends to inspire fresh content ideas.

Engagement Track:

  • Support planning, logistics, and execution of community engagement events.

  • Independently run community events and manage stakeholders to co-curate content.

  • Draft promotional materials for channels like email and social media.

  • Maintain and analyse the community membership database.

  • Assist in additional community-related initiatives beyond events.

Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Communications, or related fields.

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in tech or a similar industry.

  • Familiar with SEO practices and tools (Google Search Console, Ahrefs).

  • Strong writing, communication, and content strategy skills.

  • Eagerness to learn technical topics.

  • Experience in events planning and AV setup is a plus.

  • Basic proficiency in design and editing tools (Figma, Adobe Suite).

  • Skilled in Excel and data analysis.

  • Submission of 3 writing samples (e.g. articles, blogs, reports) required.

Preferred Experience
  • Understanding of the software development process.

  • Experience producing SEO/performance reports.

  • Conducting user interviews for content improvement.
