Job Description
Purpose of the job
To manage a portfolio of accounting clients together with junior team members and strive to become an effective, efficient and profitable business line to the Ocorian Group. The incumbent would be expected to be hands-on and be involved in the preparation of client deliverables as well as to coach, supervise and review the work of junior team members, thereby ensuring quality and timely service delivery to our clients. He or she will be required to support the Head of Corporate Services and/or Senior Manager, Client Accounting to ensure adherence with Ocorian policies and procedures so as to enable smooth operations of team management as well as driving process improvement within the team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work together with Senior Manager, Client Accounting in ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounting, payroll, GST, corporate tax and XBRL filings, so as to be in compliant with statutory requirements whilst managing tight deliverable timelines.
- Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, consolidated and/or separate financial statements, adhering to Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and/or such other reporting standards, where applicable.
- Supervise and review the work of junior/senior accountants ensuring that the completeness, accuracy, and quality of data as being reflected in the management accounts, financial statements, GST returns and tax computations.
- Serve as key liaison for clients, providing professional support on accounting, payroll and compliance matters.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring the smooth transition of takeover data for in-scope services.
- Drive continuous process improvements through software implementation and integration, workflow enhancements.
- Mentoring and training team members, supporting their continuous learning and professional development.
- Support the Senior Manager, Client Accounting in managing overall targets and proactively monitoring actual performance against target.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications Required
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Strong technical knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), ACRA, MOM, CPF and relevant tax regulations.
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience (for Assistant Manager role) and minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience (for Manager role) in a client accounting role or similar role, preferably in the business services or corporate advisory industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accountancy from reputable university or such equivalent qualification.
- Chartered Accountant with ACCA or ISCA.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and experience in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks.
- Experience with preparing financials for trust structure and related entities is a plus.

- Good command in both written and spoken English.
- Proficient in written and spoken Chinese is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, written and customer service skills.
- Positive work attitude with strong initiatives, a team player and able to work independently, lead and motivate junior team members.

- Meticulous, organised, detailed and deadline-focused.
