The Singapore Academy of Law is seeking an experienced Course Administrator to manage funding and support course development. Ideal candidates will have at least 7 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to engage positively with stakeholders. This role requires meticulous organization, strong communication skills, and a dedication to supporting educational initiatives in the legal community.
Reporting Structure: The incumbent will report to Senior Deputy Director, Learning & Professional Development
Key Responsibilities
(A) Course Funding Administration
Coordinate with funding agencies, such as Skillsfuture Singapore, to secure funding for structured training courses
Process back-office paperwork to ensure compliance with the requirements of various funding agencies
Ensure delivery of updated course funding information to learners and potential learners and advising them on course funding options
Handle enquiries relating to course funding
Manage and streamline operations and administration of subsidies and other course funding, including processing funding applications and disbursements, by working closely with the Finance team
(B) Course Support
Provide support for course curriculum development and preparation, e.g. research, course material layout and design
Liaise with course developers and/or trainers for content to be included in course curriculum and materials
Secure copyright permissions from third party content providers for use in structured training courses
Coordinate training operations and learning management system administration with Event Operations team
(C) Specialist Accreditation Applications
Provide administrative support for applications for specialist accreditation and reaccreditation, including compiling application folios, arranging examinations and interviews, and preparing accreditation awards
(D) Department Administration
Coordinate management reporting
Support budget planning and tracking
Provide general administrative support for department functions, e.g. managing inventory, arranging meetings, taking meeting notes, executing procurement and payment processes, updating websites, etc.
Key Specification
Minimum diploma with at least 7 years’ relevant working experience.
Prior experience in training course administration, handling assessment or accreditation processes, administering Skillsfuture Singapore funding, or using learning management systems would be an advantage
Prior experience in legal support roles, such as paralegal or legal secretary in a law firm or legal department, would be an advantage.
Able to build positive and productive relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
Good interpersonal, writing, communication and presentation skills.
Meticulous, resourceful and organised.
Able to multi-task effectively.
Able to work confidently with members of the Judiciary and legal community
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
