Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and optimize server and application performance to ensure reliable and scalable IT services.

  • Maintain expertise in IT systems, staying updated on emerging technologies, and provide support for production activities and technical issue resolution.

  • Conduct system maintenance, execute routine server tasks, and troubleshoot technical problems efficiently.

  • Design and deploy solutions for network, system administration, and application-related challenges.

  • Monitor systems to detect and address performance bottlenecks and potential failures.

  • Determine the best use of IT infrastructure by evaluating compatibility, usability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for IT infrastructure, participating in incident triage, change management, and project implementations.

  • Offer technical guidance to staff and management on networking, operations, applications, and desktop support.

  • Ensure system and network documentation aligns with corporate and DiTech policies.

  • Procure hardware and software from vendors, evaluating quotes and proposals while adhering to budget constraints.

  • Maintain records of vendor maintenance agreements and third-party service contracts.

  • Deliver technical training and support to staff to enhance system utilization.

  • Oversee capacity planning and upkeep of IT infrastructure, including servers, desktops, applications, and network security.

  • Analyze system practices, recommend enhancements to reduce costs, and keep track of IT assets and inventory.

  • Research and implement technical solutions in line with business goals, providing regular updates to management.

  • Conduct system testing to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Maintain quality records in compliance with standard guidelines for documentation management.

  • Assist in managing internal documents and vendor evaluations by providing feedback on products and services.

  • Provide coverage for team members during absences.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in server and network management.

  • Proficiency in VMware, Office 365, and cloud technologies.

  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity best practices (e.g., ISO 27001).

  • Strong understanding of networking (Cisco switches/routers, TCP/IP, network security).

  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical analysis skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
