Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

· Develop and implement horticultural maintenance programmes for assigned sites

· Conduct plant health assessments, diagnose diseases, pests, or deficiencies, and recommend appropriate treatments

· Manage and oversee landscape maintenance teams and contractors in daily operations

· Select suitable plant species for specific sites based on soil, climate, and design requirements

· Prepare horticultural reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory records

· Liaise with landscape contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on horticultural matters

· Ensure compliance with NParks regulations and relevant local codes

· Monitor and maintain irrigation systems and soil conditions to support plant health

· Ensure landscape contractor adopts horticultural best practices when required

· Support landscaping improvement projects and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Certified Practicing Horticulturist (CPH), or related field

· Minimum 2-3 years of relevant horticulture or landscaping experience preferred

· Good knowledge of tropical plant species, soil science, and pest management

· Familiarity with NParks guidelines and Singapore’s landscape industry standards

· Strong problem-solving and observational skills

· Able to work independently and as part of a team.
