Overview
The incumbent will support his/ her Reporting Officer to plan, implement, and maintain horticultural works, ensuring landscape contractors adopt best practices to promote healthy plant growth, optimal landscape aesthetics, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:

• Develop and implement horticultural maintenance programmes for assigned sites
• Conduct plant health assessments, diagnose diseases, pests, or deficiencies, and recommend appropriate treatments
• Manage and oversee landscape maintenance teams and contractors in daily operations
• Select suitable plant species for specific sites based on soil, climate, and design requirements
• Prepare horticultural reports, maintenance schedules, and inventory records
• Liaise with landscape contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on horticultural matters
• Ensure compliance with NParks regulations and relevant local codes
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems and soil conditions to support plant health
• Ensure landscape contractor adopts horticultural best practices when required
• Support landscaping improvement projects and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Certified Practicing Horticulturist (CPH), or related field
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant horticulture or landscaping experience preferred
• Good knowledge of tropical plant species, soil science, and pest management
• Familiarity with NParks guidelines and Singapore’s landscape industry standards
• Strong problem-solving and observational skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
