Job summary

Alexandra Hospital is seeking a seasoned Contract & Service Manager to oversee Group Hospitality, including housekeeping, waste, pest control, landscaping, linen and portering services. You will drive vendor performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and monitor service quality to enhance patient and staff experience.

You will govern contracts, budgeting and procurement, collaborate with stakeholders, and foster a high-performing team culture.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in contract management or related healthcare/hospitality field.
• Experience in contract, vendor or service management, preferably in healthcare or facilities.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Group Hospitality portfolio (Housekeeping, Waste, Pest, Landscaping, Linen & Laundry, Portering).
• Drive vendor performance to meet KPIs, standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, audits and safety.
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements for operations and user experience.
• Partner with stakeholders and providers to resolve issues and cover gaps.
• Oversee governance, reporting and documentation for accountability and audit readiness.
• Support budgeting, procurement and financial management to optimise value.
• Lead or participate in projects to improve service delivery and resilience.
• Develop a collaborative, high-performing team culture through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Overview

The incumbent will support the management of hospitality services by overseeing vendor performance, ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance, and driving service quality and operational effectiveness at the institutional level.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned Group Hospitality portfolio (Group Hospitality covers Housekeeping, Waste Management, Pest Control, Landscaping, Linen & Laundry, and Portering Services).
• Drive vendor performance to achieve contractual KPIs, service standards, and stakeholder expectations.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and workplace safety regulations.
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and user experience.
• Partner stakeholders and service providers to resolve issues, address service gaps, and support operational needs.
• Oversee contract governance, performance reporting, and documentation to ensure accountability and audit readiness.
• Support budgeting, procurement, and financial management to optimise resource utilisation and value for money.
• Lead or participate in projects and initiatives that strengthen service delivery, operational resilience, and organisational outcomes.
• Develop a collaborative and high-performing team culture through coaching, engagement, and knowledge sharing.

Requirement

• Recognised Degree, preferably in contract management in Healthcare / Hotel Setting / Horticulture, Certified Practicing Horticulturist (CPH), or related field
• Relevant experience in contract, vendor, or service management, preferably in healthcare, hospitality, or facilities environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
