Job description:

ASSISTANT MANAGER

1. Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager supports the Chairperson of the NHG Allied Health Council (NAC), the Group Chief Allied Health, and Director/Deputy Director in developing and implementing work plans for Group Allied Health (GAH). He/she assists in strategic planning to fulfill NHG's mission and supports projects related to care integration, transformation, value-based care, and workforce development to support population health across NHG's institutions.

2. Areas of Responsibility

Assist in supporting projects in care integration, transformation, value-based care, and workforce development across NHG's institutions to support population health.

  • Engage stakeholders at institution, cluster, and national levels
  • Support allied health and healthcare leaders in planning and organizing new care models, integration, workforce strategies, and other initiatives at institutional and cluster levels
  • Evaluate the baseline landscape, determine resource needs, and plan accordingly
  • Support development of the allied health workforce, including manpower planning, professional development, talent management, recruitment, and retention, aligned with priorities
  • Identify enablers of change and support change management efforts
  • Define short- and long-term goals, and evaluate outcomes
  • Support development of governance frameworks and standards
  • Perform other roles as determined by the Regional Office

3. Job Requirements

a. Education/Training/Experience

  1. Bachelor's Degree in science, health, or social-related fields, preferably with healthcare management experience
  2. 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  3. Knowledge of Singapore's healthcare programmes
  4. Experience in community care settings is an advantage
  5. Interest in leadership, strategic planning, workforce development, and healthcare transformation
