Job summary

GovTech in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Manager in the FP&A team to support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting. You will analyze actuals vs forecasts, develop scenarios and provide actionable insights to drive financial decisions across government divisions.

You will collaborate with Finance Partners, build financial models and contribute to the annual budget and funding exercises, while leveraging data and automation to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline with professional qualification preferred.
• Experience in financial planning & analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to link operations to outcomes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data prowess.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modelling; familiarity with FP&A tools helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support GovTech-wide budgeting and financial planning, consolidating inputs from units.
• Assist quarterly forecasting and management reporting, analyzing variances.
• Prepare forward-looking analyses on revenue, manpower, OPEX and CAPEX.
• Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to validate assumptions and inputs.
• Identify financial risks, opportunities and data-quality issues; propose actions.
• Support annual budgets and government funding exercises; assist with templates.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecast tools and reporting materials.
• Contribute to FP&A governance, including reconciliations and management submissions.
• Understand assigned portfolios and connect budgets to actuals and forecasts.
• Improve budgeting and reporting workflows through automation and better data.
