Job summary

Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s IB&M Finance Singapore team is seeking a finance professional to support taxation and regulatory reporting for the Singapore operations. You will work under the Senior Finance Manager and contribute to month-end close, regulatory returns, and process improvements.

You should have 3–5 years tax experience, strong Excel and Power BI skills, and be capable of partnering with business units and auditors to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of taxation experience, including income tax and GST requirements.
• Experience in financial and regulatory reporting would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive process changes.
• Attention to detail with focus on accuracy, controls and data integrity.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SQL, VBA and Power BI highly regarded.
• Bachelor in Finance or related field; ACA/ACCA/CA qualification advantageous.

IB&M Finance supports the business in providing financial control, financial analysis and insight, product control, regulatory accounting and related project and strategy implementation support.

Picture yourself in the team:

IB&M Finance Singapore is responsible for the end-to-end finance function for CBA Singapore’s operations including financial control, regulatory reporting, management reporting, statutory reporting and taxation across all business units. Responsibility includes monthly performance reporting, month end accounting, General Ledger balance sheet reconciliations, local regulatory reporting and other special tasks and projects of the IB&M businesses in Asia across the full product range.

The IB&M Finance Asia team is comprised of experienced accountants from a variety of backgrounds.

You will report to the Senior Finance Manager, Singapore.

• At least 3-5 years experience in taxation is essential, including practical knowledge of income tax and GST requirements.
• Experience in financial and regulatory reporting would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive process enhancements.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, controls and data integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SQL, VBA and/or Power BI would be highly regarded.
• At least a Bachelor in Finance or relevant disciple. A qualified accountant in ACA/ACCA/CA would be advantageous.
