Join our dynamic team at Singapore Motors as an Assistant Finance Manager (Accounting), where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial compliance, accuracy, and strategic support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review trial balances, journals, reconciliations, and bank statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Support external and internal audits, including statutory accounts and XBRL filings.
  • Manage GST submissions and corporate tax computations.
  • Implement and enhance internal controls and accounting practices.
  • Collaborate with shared services and operations for financial clarity and guidance.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and insurance coordination.
  • Prepare/review Sales & Purchasing Commission, Insurance, and Finance Commission for payroll
  • Prepare/review payroll journals
  • Provide advice, guidelines, and instructions to the shared services centre and operations on new issues / clarify current practices
  • Preparation and finalization of the budget and forecasts
  • Assist the reporting team in formulating budgets and forecasts
  • Review and coordinate insurance coverage of the company’s assets
  • Work with IT to test and implement finance-related systems and interfaces.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent (e.g., ACCA).
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
