Job description

  • Responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the Company, ensuring compliance with local regulations, company policies, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • This role encompasses financial planning, reporting, risk management, reviewing legal and finance agreements (e.g., NDAs, company project contracts) and process improvement
  • Prior experience in project-based industries such as energy, infrastructure, or construction is highly preferred.
  • A strong work ethic, proactive mindset, excellent personality and exceptional teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) on a timely basis.
  • Oversee management reporting and financial analysis.
  • Consolidate financial reports accurately and timely for multiple entities.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and provide cost control recommendations.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including GST, corporate tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for statutory reporting and tax filings.
  • Stay updated on changes in Singapore’s financial regulations and accounting standards.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity.
  • Optimize working capital management, including receivables and payables.
  • Manage banking relationships and oversee financial transactions.
  • Experience in managing banking facilities such as loans, trade finance, and credit lines is an advantage.

Risk Management, Legal & Internal Controls

  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Review legal documents, including NDAs, project contracts, and financial agreements, to assess risks and obligations.
  • Implement best practices for financial governance, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.

Finance Operations & Process Improvement

  • Streamline financial processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure optimal usage of financial systems and ERP software.
  • Support operational teams with financial insights and decision-making tools.

Business Partnering & Strategic Advisory

  • Provide financial advice to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, investment analysis, and cost-saving programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of finance or accounting experience min. 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore’s financial regulations, taxation, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Globe3 or other ERP systems) and MS Excel.
  • Experience reviewing legal documents such as NDAs, project contracts, and financial agreements.
  • Experience managing banking facilities (e.g., loans, trade finance, credit lines) is an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams
