A leading company in freight forwarding seeks a qualified Sales professional to prospect high value accounts and ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires strong communication, rapport-building skills, and a solid understanding of the freight industry. Ideal candidates will have 3-4 years of experience and a commitment to customer success.
Seeks and prospects for high value target accounts to win new customers generally in the 100k - 500k range net sales per annum; focusing bringing new customers on board.
Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer's business and the market
Assesses the type and size of customer needs and recommends solutions based on these needs by using industry knowledge
Closes business connecting a customer need with a DHL solution and the value it may create for the customers
Gathers customer and market information to update product and trade lane on current conditions
Supports customer retention by conducting joints visits with Product, TL and organizing workshops inviting customers to share information on updated regulations, products, etc.
Ensures successful retention of customers by maintaining close liaison with them, ascertaining their satisfaction level via DHL Global Forwarding service standards and to anticipate and/or prevent potential problems.
Uses networks within the various Sales channels within DP DHL to collaborate on customers, marketing strategies and offers a full supply chain of services to service customer needs.
Provides forecast in relation to opportunities & pipelines using DGF CRM.
Engages pro-actively with Product to resolve commercial / operational issues.
Collects relevant customer information for the RFI/RFP/RFQ and prepare documents for customer implementation in order to ensure proper operational handover and implementation to meet customer expectations (SLA's & SOP's).
Performs any other duties assigned by immediate superior

Deep knowledge in the freight forwarding business
Good communication and presentation skills, ideally selling experience in competitive markets
High degree of self confidence, initiative and commitment
Diploma/ degree with at least 3-4 years of relevant working experience
