A leading company is seeking an IoT Project Manager to drive the implementation of sensor-based solutions and digital transformation initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various teams, applying Design Thinking principles, and managing projects across both Waterfall and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with IoT technologies, strong project management skills, and a passion for enhancing user experience through technology.
Key Responsibilities
Smart Systems, IoT & Experience Technology
Support or lead the implementation of IoT and sensor-based solutions for smart facilities, crowd monitoring, access control, safety, and visitor engagement.
Assist in configuring, testing, and integrating hardware and devices (e.g., sensors, counters, monitors) into systems or dashboards.
Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure seamless deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tracking of smart solutions.
Assist in incorporating technology into exhibitions or infrastructure to enhance guest interaction.
Digital Transformation & Innovation
Apply Design Thinking to understand user needs and co-create practical, tech-enabled solutions.
Support the exploration and evaluation of new technologies relevant to operations, education, or guest experience.
Assist in piloting Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and managing Proof-of-Value (POVs) to test new innovations.
Project Management
Assist in project scoping, resource planning, timeline tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
Support delivery of initiatives across both Waterfall and Agile project management methods.
Contribute to developing documentation, process flows, and post-project reviews to improve implementation success.
Contract and vendor management to support the implementation and operations.
Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Smart Systems, or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in IoT, smart technologies, or digital transformation projects.
Hands-on familiarity with sensors or hardware integration is highly desirable.
Experience in adopting Design Thinking for solution development.
Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in contract and vendor management.
Independent, resourceful, and enthusiastic about science, tech, and public engagement.
Passion for science communication and making experiences accessible to diverse audiences is a bonus!
Knowledge or experience in product management (e.g., MVP development, roadmaps) is an added advantage.
