What the role is:

The appointee will be part of the team from Singapore Polytechnic’s Department of Industry and Partnerships (InP). InP plays a pivotal role in leading Singapore Polytechnic’s efforts to engage the industry in transformation through the SP Company and Workforce Transformation (SP CWT) initiative. The key clusters include Manufacturing, Built Environment and Maritime.

What you will be working on:

He/she will build partnerships and support business development to provide guided, structured and holistic help to companies towards enterprise transformation in consultancy, training and paid student projects.

Responsibilities:-

  • Build strong partnerships with government agencies and trade associations to identify and develop new opportunities in SP vertical domain sectors (Built Environment, Food Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, Maritime & Consumer Chemicals).
  • Perform business development and conduct clinics with companies to diagnose their pain points and curate solutions accordingly.
  • Cultivate strategic clients, particularly medium-sized enterprises and above, to adopt solutions from multiple centres. This will strengthen SP’s industry mindshare and create a multiplier effect.
  • Execute marketing campaigns and events to achieve SP CWT KPIs on consultancy & training. Monitor, track and report event leads for optimal conversion.
  • Coordinate with InP, IT project manager to digitalise the lead tracking dashboard.
  • Lead in the recruitment of Best-in-Class AMLead participants on a yearly basis and ensure optimal post-trip conversion.

  • At least 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in business development and armed with good interpersonal, communication, presentation and customer service skills
  • Responsible, meticulous and highly organised individual with the ability to thrive under pressure and work independently
  • Positive, dynamic and result-oriented individual with passion to help local SMEs transform
  • Team player with the ability to work independently

Successful applicant will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
