The Role
This position involves overseeing clinical quality data analytics and governance, leading data analytics teams, managing clinical coding and care pathway functions, and collaborating across departments to improve healthcare outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversight of Clinical Data Analytics and Governance
- Manage clinical outcome data for annual evaluations of accredited doctors.
- Handle medical data for specific diseases for monthly reporting to the National Registry of Diseases Office (NRDO).
- Report process and outcome measures related to care pathways at various forums.
- Lead the Clinical Data Analytics Team
- Gather data from various systems and stakeholders.
- Analyze data to identify patterns, trends, and insights, communicating findings effectively.
- Report on clinical quality indicators for committees like RMC, BSC, QIC, and MABs.
- Guide the development of clinical audit tools and perform statistical analyses to support decision-making.
- Clinical Coding Oversight
- Ensure timely and accurate clinical coding to meet operational and regulatory standards.
- Data Submission and Care Pathways
- Ensure timely submission of DRG data to MOH.
- Oversee care pathway development, training, and monitoring activities.
- VDO Team Oversight
- Manage data collection and review of key performance indicators.
- Conduct literature reviews on evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define process and outcome parameters and develop clinical improvement plans.
- Investigate patterns and anomalies, including case reviews against benchmarks.
Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the HOD, ensuring confidentiality of data and communications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, healthcare experience preferred.
- Proficiency in statistical tools, Microsoft Excel (including VBA and Power Query), PowerPoint, Word.
- Knowledge of DRG and TOSP coding standards advantageous.
- Understanding of medical terminology, diseases, and procedures advantageous.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI preferred.
