Job summary

Grab's Singapore Credit Risk and Collections team manages risk strategy and collections for lending products. This role designs risk strategies and collaborates across Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Data Analytics and Data Science to support Singapore lending objectives.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Credit Risk and Collections in Singapore and work onsite at Grab's One-North office. A strong background in underwriting and data analytics is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in credit underwriting, policy, analytics or risk reporting.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Economics, Analytics or Business Management.
• Hands-on experience with Python, R, SQL and SAS.

Responsibilities

• Develop underwriting and portfolio risk policies using analytics and business insights.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Operations to grow lending business.
• Review risk parameters, pricing, product structure and regulatory needs.
• Monitor risk dashboards and identify opportunities to grow the portfolio.

Get to Know the Team

The Credit Risk and Collections department at Grab Financial Group develops, launches and manages credit products in Singapore.

You will join the Country Credit Risk and Collections team, supporting consumer and merchant lending products. Together with the Regional team, we manage the end-to-end credit risk lifecycle—from credit decisioning and limit management to portfolio monitoring, policy development, data science, collections, and recoveries.

The Lending team is made up of a mix of risk management, product, design and software professionals, providing lots of opportunity to share knowledge and learnings across functions.

Get to Know the Role

You will manage credit risk strategy and collections for the lending products in Singapore team. You will design risk strategies and collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Data Analytics, and Data Science teams.

You will report directly to the Head, Credit Risk and Collections, Grab Singapore.

This role is based onsite at Grab's One-North office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Develop underwriting and portfolio management risk policies using analytics and practical business insights
• Work with Commercial teams to achieve business growth through acquisitions targeting and profitability analysis
• Support the review / estimation of risk parameters, product pricing, product structure and regulatory requirements
• Develop and monitor risk dashboards to identify opportunities to sustainably grow Singapore lending portfolio
• Provide credit risk advisory to senior management
• Leverage best lending practices in the market to enhance efficiency of credit programmes
• Work with Regional Collections, External Collection Agencies and 3rd party vendors to manage collections processes
• Use AI tools such as Claude and Codex to automate existing country processes

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• 5+ years of work experience in Credit Underwriting, Credit policy, Data analytics and Risk Reporting
• Master's degree/Bachelor's degree in preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics or Business Management
• Hands-on experience in Python, R, SQL, and SAS
• Prior exposure to retail lending customer's credit life cycle including origination and portfolio management
• Analytical skills with the ability to organise information
