Assistant Manager, Career Education page is loaded
The Assistant Manager, Career Education plays a pivotal and highly collaborative role in empowering students to succeed in today’s competitive job market. This role involves coordinating and operationalizing large-scale, credit-bearing career courses that are compulsory for undergraduate students, as well as implementing other impactful career development workshops. Working closely with faculty, internal stakeholders and external consultants, the Assistant Manager is empowered within the team to administer and execute student-centric processes and learning experiences. Through this work, the Assistant Manager helps students build essential career skills, enhance their career readiness, and achieve strong employment outcomes upon graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
Course Administration and Delivery
Plan, coordinate, and execute credit-bearing career courses with tracking of students on their completion.
Implement course planning, scheduling, operational support, programme coordination and logistics management.
Administer Learning Management Systems (eg Blackboard) and other student administration systems, with hands-on operational responsibilities in enrolment management, student data, course content setup and assessment tracking.
Execute in-person and virtual classes (ZOOM, MS Teams).
Liaise with multiple NTU internal departments to ensure coaching clinic timelines and submissions are met.
Workshop Administration and Student Engagement
Support workshop administration – including but not limited to managing training schedule, venue booking, vendor liaison, procurement, payment, logistic arrangements and evaluation.
Design and copy-write publicity materials that are relevant and relatable to students for effective outreach.
Monitor registrations.
Provide regular training statistics for reporting and strategic decision making.
Stakeholder Engagement
Main point of contact for students, NTU internal departments and external vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving issues efficiently to ensure a positive experience.
Process Improvements
Review administration for coaching clinics and other workshops based on students’ feedback.
Monitor operational processes for improved efficiency.
Job Requirements:
A recognized degree with at least 4 years’ experience in programme administration and implementation, preferably in higher education or large-scale corporate training settings.
Skills & Competencies
Highly competent in course administration including timetable planning, assignment deadlines and attendance tracking of large learning cohorts.
Highly proficient in implementing large-scale course setup, content upload, enrolment management, assignment tracking, grade submission, and student progress tracking and analytics on Learning Management Systems (eg Canvas, Blackboard) and Student Administration Systems.
Proficient in planning and executing in-person and virtual classes (ZOOM, MS Teams), including venue booking, technical support, and stakeholder coordination.
Proficient in Canva, Excel, PowerPoint, Word with the ability to adopt new tools and systems to enhance operations.
Proficient in email marketing, including design and copy writing for effective and relevant student communications.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Highly analytical with strong problem solving and project management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder engagement and reporting.
Competent in vendor liaison, procurement, payment, logistic arrangements and evaluation.
Competent to manage large datasets to monitor student participation, performance, and feedback.
