Overview

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the Development Secretariat and Hospital Planning Committee in establishing the Biomedical Engineering (BME) department. You will be responsible for ensuring that project execution, budget management and quality standards align with the established programme. Your duties will include conducting end-user briefings, defining operations requirements for the hospital’s biomedical systems, collaborating with technology partners to design and implement BME systems, as well as establishing guidelines and project timelines. You will lead the development and review of related policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks. Additionally, you will lead and facilitate workshops and meetings with various project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.

Qualifications
  • A recognised degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering or related fields
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in hospital operations, preferably in a healthcare sector
  • Strong knowledge and skills in design thinking, change management, project management, technology adoption and process methodologies
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders in a dynamic and growing organisation
  • A team player who is highly motivated, action-oriented, and possesses excellent planning, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Able to work under pressure, adapt to change and manage challenges effectively
  • Familiar with AutoCAD, Photoshop and/or presentation software
