As part of the Automated People Mover (APM) System team at Changi Airport, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliable operation and high availability of the APM system. You will oversee the operations and maintenance (O&M) activities, perform system performance analysis, and support ongoing fleet expansion and system upgrade projects. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner. Due to the 24/7 nature of airport operations, responsiveness and adaptability are criticalKey Responsibilities:
  • Review and assess O&M contractor’s daily and monthly performance reports
  • Supervise maintenance activities to ensure quality standards and contractual compliance
  • Evaluate technical submissions from contractors for project and system works
  • Coordinate and monitor project activities to ensure timely and successful delivery and commissioning
  • Investigate and analyze system faults, preparing reports for internal stakeholders and management
  • Support the preparation of tender documents and procurement quotations for system expansion or upgrades
  • Lead or contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing system performance, availability, and reliability
  • Respond promptly to incidents and user feedback, ensuring service recovery and continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in rail transit systems, infrastructure projects, or maintenance operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to issue resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to simplify technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, with a growth mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Power BI and application development with Power App
This is a 3 year fixed term contract.
