A leading multinational conglomerate in the leisure and hospitality business is seeking an Assistant Manager in Accounting & Finance for their Singapore office. The role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and managing budgeting across multiple countries including Malaysia, China, and India. Ideal candidates will have a strong financial background, at least 5 years of experience, and familiarity with multi-country accounting practices. THE ROLE
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Finance, the role of the Assistant Manager, Accounting & Finance oversees the financial operations of the company Singapore Sales Office, while also managing reporting and compliance across the company Malaysia, China, and India Sales Offices. This role is based in Singapore.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Singapore Office:
· Full set of accounts, tax filing (GST, corporate tax), and statutory compliance
· Monthly financial closing and management reporting
· Quarterly reporting to HQ in Malaysia
· Liaison with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities
· Oversee cash flow, payments, payroll, and bank reconciliations
· Ensure adherence to group accounting policies and statutory compliance
· Annual budgeting and forecasting
Regional Oversight (Malaysia, China, India):
· Full set of accounts, tax filling and statutory compliance with the assistance from local consultants
· Ensure adherence to group accounting policies and statutory compliance
· Monitor budget performance and financial controls across offices
· Oversee cash flow, payments, payroll, and bank reconciliations
· Annual budgeting and forecasting
Key Requirements
· Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA)
· At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 1+ years in a managerial role, and working experience in public accounting firm preferred.
· Proven experience in multi-country accounting, preferably with regional oversight
· Strong knowledge of Singapore tax and financial regulations
· Familiar with accounting standards (e.g. IFRS or local GAAP) across Asia
· Excellent command of English; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage (due to communication with China office)
· Independent, hands-on, and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
· Able to work under pressure
· Familiarity with ERP system, SAP and Excel
