Job Summary:

The Assistant Logistics Manager in the laundry industry oversees the efficient movement of linens, uniforms, and other textiles between clients and production facilities. This role ensures timely pickups, deliveries, and inventory management while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Transportation & Route Management:
  • Plan and optimize delivery/pickup routes for laundry trucks to maximize efficiency.
  • Coordinate with drivers to ensure on-time service for clients
  • Manage fleet maintenance, fuel efficiency, and compliance with traffic regulations.
  • Track deliveries
  • Any other task as assigned by manager
2. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination:
  • Oversee linen inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of clean and soiled linens to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Implement RFID tracking systems for linen lifecycle management.
  • Work with production teams to ensure smooth deliveries
3. Vendor & Customer Relations:
  • Liaise with vendor & customer in relation to pickups, delays, or any other request
4. Process Improvement & Cost Control:
  • Analyze logistics data to reduce fuel costs, labour hours, and vehicle wear-and-tear.
  • Optimize load planning to maximize truck capacity and minimize trips.
5. Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations.
  • Train drivers and operation staff on proper handling of soiled linens.
  • Maintain records for linen loss, damage, and replacement cycles.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business (preferred).
  • Experience: 3+ years in logistics
  • Technical Skills: Class 4 license (preferred)
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and customer service abilities.
