A leading media organization in Singapore seeks an experienced Asst Lead of Product to drive the product direction for their flagship OTT video streaming platform. You will oversee the product roadmap, lead cross-functional teams, and focus on user experience and business impact. Ideal candidates should have at least 8 years in the media sector and strong leadership skills.
We are looking for a forward-thinking Asst Lead of Product to lead the product direction for mewatch, Mediacorp's flagship OTT video streaming platform.
This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives at product development, user experience, and business impact. You will work closely with the team and define the product roadmap across mobile, web, and smart TV platforms, lead a cross-functional team, and partner closely with stakeholders across engineering, design, data, and business to shape the mewatch product
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CHALLENGES
Strategic Road Mapping & Product Execution
Define and evolve the product roadmap to align with user needs, platform goals, and corporate priorities.
Translate product vision into quarterly OKRs, MVP definitions, and sprint deliverables.
Prioritize features and technical improvements using a balance of data insights, effort, feasibility, and customer impact.
Cross-Platform Feature Ownership
Lead the ideation, scoping, and delivery of features across all major platforms: iOS, Android, Web, and Connected TVs (tvOS, WebOS, Tizen, Android TV).
Ensure consistent and high-quality user experiences across devices.
Product Leadership & oversee the delivery of features
Work with a high-performing team of product managers, designers, and analysts.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, QA, and data teams to ensure timely and high-quality feature rollouts.
Implement structured problem-solving practices and agile delivery processes.
Executive Communication & Governance
Present product updates, business cases, and roadmap plans to senior management and executive stakeholders.
Effectively manage budgets for product development.
Actively participate in governance forums to align product direction with digital strategy.
Data-Driven Product Thinking
Leverage tools such as Mixpanel, Adobe Analytics, and GA4 to guide product decisions.
Analyse engagement data, funnel drop-offs, and user friction points to refine features and optimise journeys.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in media, technology, or entertainment industries, with at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership role
Masters / Computer Science / MBA
Strong ability to develop and implement a roadmap for mewatch.
Evaluating market trends, competition, and audience needs.
Leading, mentoring, and coaching diverse teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of managing and iterating OTT products, focusing on UX/UI, functionality, and user journeys. Budgeting and financial planning.
Understanding of the OTT ecosystem, including content distribution models (SVOD, AVOD, TVOD), emerging technologies, and audience trends. Strong analytical skills
