What you will do

The Assistant Key Account Manager/Key Account Manager, General Trade, is responsible for achieving product sales to new and established national/key accounts to meet sales objectives and increase market penetration. This role is eligible for sales incentives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate sales and marketing programs in the assigned territory.
  • Strengthen partnerships with key customers and distributors to achieve sales targets.
  • Leverage shopper insights, merchandising opportunities, and promotional events.
  • Support the development of effective distribution strategies and inventory management.
  • Manage and guide distributor sales representatives to drive business results.
  • Create tactical plans to achieve objectives through sales and servicing of key accounts.
  • Make preplanned sales presentations to customers.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer locations to gather market insights.
  • Work closely with key customers and distributors to develop business and achieve sales, distribution, and merchandising objectives.
  • Utilize understanding of retailer dynamics, shopper/consumer knowledge, and promotional opportunities.
  • Support the development of effective distribution and maintain healthy inventory systems in the trade.
  • Manage distributor sales representatives to achieve business results.
Qualifications
What we are looking for
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Business or related field).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of FMCG sales experience in General Trade or Wholesale. Modern Trade experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in distributor management.
  • Commercial mindset with financial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to foster a positive team environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites and stores.
