Job summary

A technology solutions provider in Singapore is looking for a Network Engineer to install, configure, and maintain various network systems. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 4 years of experience, knowledge in cybersecurity, and be able to provide technical support. Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of cloud computing, particularly AWS, are preferred. This role involves working independently and under pressure in a team environment.

Job Description:

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers at customer premises/site
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving network and system-related issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, system settings, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Maintain and manage all IT contracts and renewals, including vendor management.
• Assist in designing, implementing, and managing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs).
• Assist in implementing and managing security measures to protect network and system confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Assist in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans and backup procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the network and systems are up-to-date and secure.
• Work closely with sales team to understand client requirements and propose appropriate network solutions.
• Work closely with Project team and ensuring seamless integration of network infrastructure within the overall project deliverables.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Preferably with Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Business Information System/IT-related or equivalent work experience
• Basic knowledge in Cloud computing (Preferred: AWS).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, high adaptability with Can-do attitude
• Detailed orientated and possess great problem solving skill
• Ideally with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
• Knowledgeable in computer network, system, and cybersecurity concepts. (CCNA Routing & Switching and CCNA Security or similar)
• Ability to work independently with inititative in a team enviroment
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
• Ability to configure and manage Firewalls, Network Switches, Routers, Wireless Controllers, Servers, etc.)
• Ability to configure and manage Microsoft Windows Server Domain, Active Directory, SQL Server, and virtualization environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot network, server, end-user PC and software issues.
• Willing to travel to various project site
