A leading IT services company seeks an Assistant Director for Applications and Infrastructure. You will oversee strategic IT initiatives, manage operations, and ensure compliance with governance standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT leadership and project management, with a focus on delivering quality service and stakeholder engagement.
Assistant Director, IT (Applications + Infrastructure)
Role Overview
You’ll oversee infrastructure, systems, vendor management, audits, and governance—ensuring seamless and secure delivery of IT services.
Key Responsibilities
Drive departmental strategy and operational plans aligned with organizational goals.
Establish and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
Oversee daily IT operations—networking, infrastructure, systems, and service delivery.
Manage projects: lead planning, risk mitigation, resource allocation, and Agile/Waterfall execution.
Supervise and mentor a diverse team of IT professionals, fostering skill development.
Oversee vendor relations and third-party contracts to ensure compliance and performance.
Ensure IT general controls, audits, and compliance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO27001).
Maintain governance over data, privacy, and IT asset management.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership and cover during the Director’s absence.
Support cross-functional collaboration and sustain quality records management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
10+ years’ experience, with at least 5 in team management and complex IT projects.
PMP, CITPM, or equivalent certification.
Solid expertise in IT infrastructure, systems, emerging technology, and both Waterfall & Agile methodologies.
Experience in IT audits, controls, and compliance standards (e.g. NIST, COBIT, ISO27001).
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and data security regulations.
Proficient in MS Project, Visio, Excel, and related tools.
Healthcare experience will be preferred
