The Assistant Infrastructure Architect/Manager plays a key role in designing, deploying, and managing scalable and secure infrastructure solutions, ensuring seamless integration across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design scalable and secure infrastructure blueprintsfor cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
Enforce and maintain architecture standardsacross all infrastructure solutions
Create and manage detailed architecture documentation, including technical specifications and diagrams
Lead capacity planning initiativesto ensure optimal system performance and scalability
Conduct performance tuningto enhance efficiency and reliability of high-availability systems
Manage third-party vendors, overseeing procurement and integration processes
Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication
Address customer inquiries and technical discussions, providing expert guidance
Analyse the impact of change requestsand propose architectural adjustments
Design and implement zero-trust security frameworks (Network segmentation, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Secrets management)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5 or more years of experience in a similar or related role
Proven track record of at least 2+ years of experience in large-scale Singapore Government project implementations
Possesses deep technical expertise in infrastructure technologies spanning networking, firewalls, load balancers, backup and restoration, virtualization, hyperconverged systems, cloud-native stacks, and Linux
Possesses deep expertise in enterprise Linux systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE) with specialized experience in air-gapped deployments, including secure configuration, offline patching, and compliance hardening
Possesses advanced proficiency in Cloud-Native technologies and Kubernetes ecosystems, including managed platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE), enterprise distributions (Rancher, OpenShift), container runtimes (Docker, containerd), and secure secrets management with encryption at rest using KMS solutions such as AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp, and Thales
Strong understanding of IT risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, security protocols, and cryptography
Excellent communication skills. Able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to develop comprehensive technical documentation, including high-level and low-level design specifications, as well as detailed technical diagrams such as network architectures, data flow charts, and security control mappings
Proactive in staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive future-ready solutions
Security background or experience is a strong advantage
CISSP certification (preferred but not mandatory)
