The role

The Assistant HR Manager will serve as an HR generalist, overseeing payroll, employee relations, learning and development and daily HR operations for Singapore, Australia and Malaysia, supporting approximately 30+ FTEs.

The Assistant HR Manager will report to the Deputy General Manager - Singapore for operational matters and dotted-line report to the APAC Head of HR for HR-specific functions, fostering alignment with company-wide HR strategies.

WHAT WE WILL TRUST YOU WITH…

  • Oversee daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding and employee engagement across Singapore, Australia and Malaysia.

  • Assist the Deputy GM in building the HR strategic vision for OnTheList defining our main key pillars and retainment plan for our key people while making the team grow.

  • Foster a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives, aligning with OnTheList’s mission and values.

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for SEA market- including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, offer negotiations and onboarding.

  • Coordinate with universities and educational institutions for career fair, internship programme and company tour etc.

  • Manage payroll processing for part time and full time employees for the designated regions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of compensation strategies, including salary benchmarking and benefits administration.

  • Conduct annual budget forecasting and staff annual performance management

  • Support in implementing learning and development initiatives, both on group level and local aspects

  • Handle tax clearance, monthly CPF submission, annual income tax filing and the submission of government paid‑leave claims, NS claims, etc.

  • Provide support and guidance to employees regarding visa-related inquiries and documentation.

  • Maintain accurate HR records in HRIS related to payroll, recruitment and benefits.

  • Collaborate with regional HR team to improve processes and enhance the overall employee experience.

  • Support HR Projects as assigned

WHAT IT TAKES…

  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management or equivalent

  • 5 years of HR generalist or C&B experience in a fast paced and customer focused environment

  • High adaptability, quickly adapt to new environments and changes.

  • Excellent people management skills and phone communication skills

  • Proficient with understanding of Singapore and Australian employment laws and payroll regulations (e.g., CPF, Superannuation).

  • Responsible, well-organized and attention to details

  • Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment

  • Proficient in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Good command of written and spoken English
