Overview

We are partnering with a leading retail client to hire an Assistant HR Manager (Generalist). This is a great opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys a broad generalist role covering HR operations, employee lifecycle management, payroll review, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and employee records.
  • Review and validate payroll processed by an external payroll vendor, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support annual compensation reviews, benefits administration, and HR reporting.
  • Partner with managers on recruitment, performance management, and employee relations matters.
  • Contribute to employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure HR practices are compliant with local employment legislation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of HR generalist experience, with exposure to payroll review and vendor management.
