SUMMARY The Assistant HR Manager plays a key role in supporting the HR function by overseeing daily operations related to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role ensures HR policies are effectively implemented and aligns HR initiatives with the company’s goals to foster a productive and engaged workforce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition • Assist in managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. • Work closely with department heads to identify hiring needs and develop job descriptions. • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including orientation and training coordination.
Employee Relations & Engagement • Act as a point of contact for employee queries, grievances, and conflict resolution. • Foster a positive work environment by implementing engagement initiatives and employee recognition programs. • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
Performance Management & Training • Support the implementation of performance appraisal processes and provide guidance to managers on employee evaluations. • Work with training department to identify the training and development needs and propose learning programs to enhance employee skills. • Assist in succession planning and career development strategies.
HR Operations & Compliance • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with local labor laws and company guidelines. • Assist in overseeing payroll processing, leave management, and employee benefits administration. • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and documentation.
HR Projects & Strategy • Assist in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives. • Support HR digitalization efforts and process improvements. • Participate in workforce planning, compensation reviews, and policy updates.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Min 5 years’ experience in human resource function, preferably in F&B / Retail industry in a similar capacity
Good knowledge of local labor laws and practices
Independent, proactive, resourceful and strong team player with solid analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
