Job summary

A prominent packaging company in Singapore is looking for an experienced HR Manager to oversee HR operations such as recruitment, performance management, and employee relations. Candidates should have a diploma or university education in Human Resource Management and at least 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong interpersonal skills and proactive management abilities are essential. This role includes coordinating employee welfare programs and managing training needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Directly managing the HR operational areas including recruitment, development, talent management, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations

  • Administer performance review program for Staff

  • Review and verify worker’s payroll computation, at the same time process staff and management payroll

  • Manage the recruitment cycle for all workers and staff

  • Coordinate university/polytechnic student internship programs

  • Conduct exit interviews and to review feedback to improve on retention rates

  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude towards organization goals

  • Manage employee training needs and monitor training programs, ensure training records meet ISO standard

  • Assist the HR Manager on developing annual budget, and quarterly rolling forecasts

  • Verify 3rd party service provider invoices and employee welfare related claims

  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings

  • Coordinate company vehicles' inspection and road tax

  • Handle workers’ disciplinary and grievances issues

  • Co-ordinate staff level annual performance appraisal, annual increment & bonus exercise

  • Coordinate, review, and present contract renewals for approval (e.g. security services, canteen operator, maintenance, payroll system upkeep, etc....)

  • Manage annual employee welfare programs (e.g. annual dinner)

  • Co-ordinate office administrative matters

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications / Experience
  • Diploma or University education in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification

  • At least 5 years hands-on related experience in human resource management in a manufacturing environment

  • Hands-on and motivated individual with a positive drive

  • Proactive and good interpersonal skills

  • Independent and with initiative

  • A good team player and leader
