Amara Singapore is seeking an experienced Hotel Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead staff in maintaining high standards of service. The role involves strategic planning, staff training, and ensuring guest satisfaction through effective coordination across departments. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in Hospitality Management and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a hotel setting.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Supervise daily operations, train and lead staff in maintaining a clean hotel.
• Involve in strategic planning and provide direction for the entire department to progress.
• Review daily and monthly manpower schedules.
• Schedule and approve staff annual leaves, public holidays, and overtimes.
• Conduct daily briefings.
• Maintain working equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Requisite and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Ensure Lost and Found properties are handled according to set procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints related to accommodations, services, and billing—ensuring timely and effective resolutions to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Work closely with the respective departments to promptly resolve any defects or maintenance issues in guest rooms and public areas.
• Oversee pest control activities with a strong focus on detail and hygiene standards.
• Liaise with the Maintenance Department to implement and monitor a preventive maintenance schedule for guest rooms and public areas.
• Perform regular spot checks on staff performance, addressing errors or areas of improvement promptly.
• Coordinate with contractors on existing projects or new assignments. Recommend items to be written off and initiate new purchases.
• Organize and lead regular training sessions to ensure staff are well-versed in standard operating procedures, while also addressing concerns, assigning duties, and reinforcing high service standards.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Diploma in Hospitality Management or other relevant qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ related experience.
• Commitment to work rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
• Meticulous with strong attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
