Job summary

Nexus International School Singapore is seeking an experienced Assistant Head of School, Safeguarding to lead safety, protection and wellbeing across the school. Reporting to the Principal, you will work with leadership teams to ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, training, audits and case management.

The role requires a strong background in safeguarding, leadership and collaboration with staff, families and external bodies to promote a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree in education, psychology, social work, counselling or related field.
• DSL/DDSL safeguarding training from recognised international providers.
• Minimum 5 years school experience; leadership experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of safeguarding policy and procedures.
• Chair Safeguarding Team meetings; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Coordinate safeguarding practices across Early Years to Secondary.
• Line manage Child Protection Officers and train staff on risk assessments.
• Collaborate with authorities, embassies, and external agencies as needed.
• Deliver safeguarding training for staff, students and parents.
