A leading company in Singapore is looking for an accountant with at least 5 years of experience in financial management. The role involves managing accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting audits. Candidates should possess a degree in Finance or Accountancy and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and meticulousness in their work.
Duration: 1 Year
Working Location: Farrer Park
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm
Responsibilities:
Maintain full set of accounts including balance sheets, income statements, and general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements
Manage accounts receivable/payable, perform monthly closings, bank reconciliations, and prepare MIS reports and financial statements
Monitor investment portfolios (gold, bonds, equities, T-bills, FDs), prepare reports, provide insights, and manage renewals and stock takes
Develop budgets, monitor monthly cash flow, and track fixed assets including depreciation and disposals
Oversee banking operations such as payments, deposits, account management, signatory updates, and reconciliation for all units
Manage trust accounts including monthly reporting, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance
Handle procurement processes, vendor coordination, and purchase order documentation
Support audits (internal and external), ensure financial governance, and assist in donation-related matters
Coordinate finance-related meetings, prepare minutes, and provide admin support to Finance Head
Assist with accounting tasks for temple units and support corporate and religious events
Manage non-HR insurance matters including policy renewals, claims, and annual risk assessments
Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Head or CEO
Requirements:
Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of Investment and Asset Management, including gold, bonds, equities, T-bills, and fixed deposits (FDs)
Proficient in full set of accounts and financial reporting
Familiar with regulatory compliance, audit procedures, and financial governance
Meticulous, well-organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across departments
