Job Description

The Assistant Finance Manager would be tasked with ensuring accurate financial documentation, ensuring compliance with statutes, and facilitating operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Operations:

  • Ensure day-to-day financial operations by maintaining general ledger, journal entries, fixed asset register, prepayments, etc

  • Deal with vendor payments, receivables monitoring and reconciliations

  • Deal with inter-company transactions and reconciliations

  • Maintain Petty Cash

  • Prepare MIS reports as needed

  • Coordinate with banks, auditors, consultants, and other external parties

Compliance & Audit:

  • Maintain proper records and filing as per audit and legal requirements

  • Ensure adherence to statutory laws such as GST, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, CPF etc

  • Timely and accurate filings with statutory authorities

  • Coordinate with external consultants and government departments for compliance matters

  • Prepare documentation and respond to notices or queries from regulatory authorities

  • Prepare data and assist auditors in statutory audits

Skills:

  • Good understanding of accounting principles

  • Proficiency in SAP (S4 Hana) and MS Office applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

  • Working knowledge of statutory compliances in a manufacturing environment

  • Capability to work independently and as a member of cross-functional team
