Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Finance Manager to join our team at Mooreast Asia Pte Ltd in the Shipyard West Region. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting Head of Corporate Finance / Financial Controller in steering the company's financial strategy and operations, ensuring financial stability and growth while aligning financial strategies with overarching business objectives.

Job description

Financial Planning and Analysis

1. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the Company’s long-term goals and objectives.
2. Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections.
3. Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

Cash Flow Management

1. Monitor and manage the Company’s cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs.
2. Develop strategies for optimizing working capital and managing debt.

Risk Management

1. Identify and mitigate financial risks, including credit, market, operational, and liquidity risks.
2. Implement and monitor internal control to safeguard the Company’s assets.

Investment Management

1. Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to the CEO and Board of Directors.
2. Develop financial models, perform financial due diligence and evaluate potential M&A or investment projects which includes overseeing deal process, negotiating commercial terms and supporting any other business development.

Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate governance requirements.

Job requirement

1. Minimum Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy/ ACCA or equivalent.
2. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
3. Strong leadership traits and analytical skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. At least 7-10 years of relevant working experience.
6. Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
8. Excellent Mandarin and English communication skills required to manage Mandarin speaking internal and external stakeholders and staff.
