Job description

What you will be working on:

As an Assistant Engineer/Senior Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) at the Kranji Water Reclamation Plant, you will be part of the team responsible for treating used water to produce NEWater and ensuring safe discharge to the sea. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us. Your main responsibilities include:

1. Assist the Supervisor in planning, documenting, and executing comprehensive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment in used water treatment processes, such as pumps, centrifuges, thickeners, lifting equipment, diesel and gas engines.
2. Perform procurement, inventory, and asset management functions related to the maintenance and servicing of mechanical equipment.
3. Monitor and guide contractors, subcontractors, and technicians to ensure performance and service levels meet standards for maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and rectification works for mechanical equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to schedules.
4. Review condition assessments and service reports submitted by contractors to ensure proper completion before recommending acceptance.
5. Respond to equipment abnormalities and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) when required.
6. Perform any other duties as assigned.
