Merries Executive Search is assisting a client in Singapore to hire an assistant engineer for public address system configuration, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning on project sites, including field-end speaker lines.

You will maintain accurate technical records, work with the project team to meet schedules, and report progress in prescribed formats. A Diploma in Electronics/ITE and at least 1 year of PA experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or an equivalent ITE qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in public address systems.
• Ability to understand and communicate technical procedures in English.

Our client is looking for an assistant engineer to carry out public address system configuration, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning, including field-end speaker lines.

Maintain accurate technical records and complete assigned site activities to the agreed schedule.

Reporting line: Designated project supervisor.

Basic Salary: $3,100-$3,400

Transport Allowance: $200/month

Potential Gross Monthly: $4,500-$5,500 (inclusive of OT & transport allowance)

Location: Ang Mo Kio / Project Sites

Responsibilities:

Site Execution and Documentation

Work independently and with the project team to meet testing and commissioning schedules.

Resolve problems proactively and elevate unresolved issues.

Record test results and report progress in the prescribed format.

Carry out equipment and cable labeling, and routine preventive and corrective maintenance for public address systems.

Update single-line diagrams, cable routes, termination lists and system drawings for submission.

Follow site safety requirements and perform related duties within the assigned system scope, training and authorization.

Public Address Systems

Carry out Main Distribution Frame (MDF) terminations and configure public address system equipment.

Troubleshoot public address systems, including faults affecting field-end speaker lines.

Test and commission public address systems in accordance with test procedures, record results and follow up on assigned corrective actions.

Requirements:

Diploma in Electronics or an equivalent ITE qualification relevant to the role.

At least 1 year of relevant experience and working knowledge in public address systems.

Working knowledge of public address equipment, MDF terminations, system configuration and speaker-line troubleshooting.

Able to understand and communicate in English to follow technical procedures, coordinate work and report progress.

Able to interpret technical drawings and follow testing and commissioning procedures.
