Assistant Engineer [ Japanese Speaking | instrumentation industry | Up to 5,000]

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to field service teams
2. Support Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT)
3. Maintain accurate service tool inventory
4. Complete and submit service documentation on time (e.g., timesheets, reports, logs, expenses)
5. Organize and store engineering documents (drawings, version history, scope, RFIs)

Requirements:

1. Diploma or ITE Certificate in Instrumentation, CPT, Electronics, or Mechatronic Engineering, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in instrumentation
2. Proficiency in Japanese is required to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking suppliers and clients
3. Experience in handling high vacuum equipment, pumps, chillers, and compressors
4. Experience working with PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) or other coating machines
5. Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
6. Capable of leading a small team of junior Assistant Engineers.
7. Familiarity with PLC systems and sputtering / etching tools is preferred
8. Candidates with less than 3 years of experience in field service engineering will be considered for the Assistant Engineer role
9. Candidates with more than 5 years of field service experience in industries such as semiconductors, shipbuilding, aerospace, or high vacuum systems, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position, will be considered for the Assistant Manager / Manager role
