A leading company is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to manage M&E works on-site. The position requires a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience. Responsibilities include supervising site activities, ensuring quality control, and preparing documentation for project completion. The candidate must be available 24/7 for emergency response and be willing to work 6 days a week.
Job Duties:
7. Your specialized site works are as follows
· Fully responsible for mechanical works of power generation and energy efficiency projects from initial identification and evaluation through installation and measurement and verification.
· Develop mechanical related concept designs and sequence of operations for energy efficiency projects.
· Responsible for mechanical works of energy savings and cost analysis for energy efficiency and demand response measures.
· Prioritize the mechanical works of operational improvements based on budgets, relative cost Vs. benefits, and likelihood of acceptance for installation.
· Responsible for leading assessments, detailed evaluations, measurement and verification reports and retro-commissioning plans for existing facilities.
· Provide full mechanical technical support to customers through the implementation process.
· Responsible for measurement and verification activities of installed projects.
· Responsible for design reviews and propose recommendations for improvements.
· Creating work plans and cost estimates for the mechanical works of the project.
· Providing information to contractors/colleagues, and giving feedback to the organization to apply lessons learned
8. Must be alert in 24 hours to attend faults at offices, factories, hospitals, data centers and other 24 hours running service sectors.
9. Weekly 6 days’ work from Monday to Sunday with one off day assigned by the project operations manager depending upon the project schedules.
10. In case of emergencies must work on public holidays.
Requirements
1. Must have a diploma in Mechanical or related Engineering
2. Must have 5 years’ experience in the relevant field.
3. Capable to coordinate M&E works at site and maintaining and updating the drawing data.
4. Capable to Monitor and carry out quality check on progressive completed work.
5. Capable to Maintain project team accomplishments by communicating essential information; coordinating actions; obtaining expert input; reviewing open issues and action items; contributing information to team meetings and reports; escalating project completion impediments.
6. Capable to Day-to-day management on site, including supervising and monitoring the site and co-ordinate sub-contract works.
7. Capable to liaise with clients and consultants on project.
8. Capable to prepare proper reports and documentation before and after project completion and assist in preparation of Operation and Maintenance manual.
9. Capable to manage the specialized site works as described the in the job duties
