Job summary

A leading company in marine drilling seeks an EHS Specialist to implement safety programs and ensure compliance with international regulations. Candidates should have a degree and significant experience in the marine or oil & gas sector, and be prepared for potential offshore work.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the EHS Manager in implementing and monitoring safety programs in line with marine/offshore regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and hazard identification at marine/offshore sites.
  • Monitor environmental compliance (e.g., waste management, emissions, spill prevention) according to local and international standards (MARPOL, IMO, ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Assist in accident/incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive measures.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and EHS training for crew, subcontractors, and staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety records, permits, and documentation.
  • Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and coordination.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous EHS improvements.
  • Coordinate with site operations and project teams to ensure EHS integration in daily activities.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of EHS experience, preferably in the marine/offshore, shipyard, or oil & gas industry.
  • Familiar with international marine safety and environmental regulations (e.g., MOM, NEA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OHSAS).
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Willing to travel offshore or be stationed at project sites when required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
