Job Summary:

Designed as a modern lifestyle and community enclave, the WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa embraces Singapore’s tropical island-city identity with curated greenery, asymmetrical shopfronts, and outdoor refreshment zones. The Assistant Director oversees the conceptualization, planning, execution and activation of immersive events and experiences at the WEAVE, to create WOW moments across our flagship stores, dining venues, entertainment hubs, and iconic attractions. This role is pivotal in crafting unforgettable guest journeys from day to night, driving footfall, enhancing brand engagement, and connecting guests through novel experiences that blend retail, dining, and entertainment.

Job Responsibilities:

Event and Experience Strategy & Planning

· Conceptualize immersive and thematic experiences that resonate with diverse guest profiles.

· Develop and lead the annual events calendar aligned with brand objectives and seasonal campaigns.

· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design events that integrate retail, dining, and entertainment.

Event Management & Execution

· Oversee end-to-end event execution of large-scale events, pop-ups, seasonal festivities, and guest activations, including logistics, vendor management, staffing, and on-site operations.

· Ensure all events meet quality, safety, and brand standards.

· Monitor performance metrics and guest feedback to continuously improve future activations.

Guest Experience & Activation

· Design and execute guest-centric activations that leverage on WEAVE experiences to encourage exploration across the resort, increase dwell time, and enhance the overall visitor journey.

· Innovate with interactive technologies, gamification, and sensory elements to elevate engagement.

· Champion personalization and inclusivity in all activations.

· Leverage guest insights and real-time data to optimize activations and tailor experiences to target demographics.

· Develop loyalty and repeat-visit strategies through unique experiential moments and memorable guest touchpoints.

Cross-functional Collaboration

· Work closely with other Business Units and operational teams to align goals and execution:

  • Work with the Resort Marketing team to drive integrated marketing campaigns to promote WEAVE events across digital, social, print, and publicity channels.
  • Build strategic partnerships to amplify reach, secure media coverage, engage influencers and organize collaborative activations.
  • Develop compelling storytelling and content to highlight the immersive journey and brand experience.

· Collaborate with creative, design, and production teams to bring concepts to life.

· Manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations effectively.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Performing Arts or equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in events planning, destination management, resorts, theme parks, luxury retail, or entertainment industries.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact events and activations.
  • Strong leadership, project management, communication, budgeting and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for creating memorable guest experiences and storytelling.
  • Familiarity with immersive technologies (AR/VR), digital engagement tools, and data-driven marketing.
  • Creative mindset with a strong sense of aesthetics and brand alignment.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet dynamic demands.
  • Resilient, adaptable and able to work through issues and provide solutions in a challenging and fast paced environment.
