Job description

  • This position is for Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB).
  • Strategic & Academic Matters
    • Partner the Programmes Director (Postgraduate), Associate Dean, and Deputy Dean (Programmes) in achieving the School's vision, mission, and strategic objectives for postgraduate programmes.
    • Involved in academic planning, programme innovation, and delivery excellence for flagship postgraduate programmes, including EMBA, MBA, Chinese EMBA, and Professional Doctorate programmes.
    • Involved in the pursuit of ranking and accreditation targets through close collaboration with leadership and faculty.
  • Student & Alumni Engagement
    • Lead the Programme Managers to maintain proactive and high-quality communication with students, ensuring a strong student experience throughout the learning journey.
    • Collaborate with the Office of Alumni to strengthen community and alumni engagement.
    • Resolve issues in a timely and effective manner, balancing student satisfaction with programme standards and university policy.
  • Programme Operations & Financial Management
    • Oversee the full P&L of assigned programmes, ensuring sound financial planning, resource allocation, and cost efficiency.
    • Monitor and improve operational workflows and ensure compliance with university policies and external regulatory requirements.
    • Champion continuous improvement and ensure timely documentation and implementation of improved processes and SOPs.
  • Stakeholder & Partnership Management
    • Manage key academic stakeholders, including Associate Deans, Academic Directors, teaching faculty, and central administrative units, to support academic delivery and programme enhancements.
    • Collaborate with the Associate Dean and Academic Directors in the development and expansion of local and international partnerships.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Programme Managers, creating a high-performance team culture and driving staff development to their full potential.
    • Ensure clear delegation of duties, accountability, and cross-training within the team to strengthen resilience and operational consistency.
  • Operational & Administrative Oversight
    • Provide guidance to the team on course administration activities, including consolidation of course outlines, procurement of course materials, and the hiring of teaching assistants and student helpers.
    • Provide guidance in the preparation and issuance of faculty teaching contracts, and support examination administration and logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A university degree, preferably with a postgraduate qualification in education management, business, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of or interest in management education and delivering premium programmes or services.
  • Proven experience in strategic, operational, and financial planning, including managing budgets and P&L.
  • Prior experience in leading teams and managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Results-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently in dynamic environments.
  • Effective at influencing and negotiating across functions and seniority levels.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work across time zones as needed.
