What the role is:
The Income Security Policy Division (ISPD) leads MOM’s efforts in empowering Singaporeans to plan and save for a secure retirement. The Financial Planning Programme Department (FPPD) drives efforts to promote financial literacy and enable Singaporeans to improve their financial wellbeing. FPPD co-leads MoneySense, the national financial education programme, together with MAS. You will oversee a team to develop and implement financial literacy initiatives together with external partners (e.g., content creators, Institute for Financial Literacy) and agencies such as the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board, Housing Development Board (HDB), and Ministry of Health (MOH).
What you will be working on:
• Guide the team in conceptualising, planning, and implementing communication and outreach initiatives to increase financial literacy knowledge and translate it into action.
• Identify and establish partnerships to amplify key financial planning messages, including through traditional media and social media.
• Work with government agencies to develop and roll out financial planning messages and nudges at appropriate life stages.
• Develop targeted programmes and outreach to youth, including:
- In-school programmes for students
- Developing and promoting youth-centric financial planning guidance
• Provide strategic direction to the programmes and outreach efforts of the Institute for Financial Literacy.
• Ensure communication and outreach efforts are guided by research studies and user feedback.
What we are looking for:
• A university degree with at least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in marketing communications (marcom), engagement, or outreach.
• Strong interest in financial planning matters and CPF policies.
• Experience in leading a team.
• Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Self-driven and resourceful.
