What the role is:
The Assistant Director/Senior Assistant Director (Audit Unit) supports Director (Audit Unit) by conducting independent reviews and appraisals of the internal controls and IT processes of the Ministry to provide reasonable assurance to the Audit Committee over the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with internal policies, applicable laws and regulations, as well as to recommend areas of improvements to achieve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
What you will be working on:
Key Responsibilities:• Execute and manage internal audit projects, including planning, fieldwork and reporting• Provide advisory support on governance, risk and controls considerations• Support special reviews or investigations as requested by management or the Audit Committee• Drive the audit team’s digital transformation using automation, digital tools and data analytics• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote awareness and understanding of governance, risk and control
What we are looking for:
Functional Competencies:• Background in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration or related fields, with at least 8 years of relevant audit experience.• Professional qualifications such as CA or CIA are preferred.• Candidates from other disciplines such as Information Technology/Computer Science are welcome to apply if they possess the relevant experience in internal auditing.• Good working knowledge and understanding of IT controls, processes and data analytics is a plus.General Competencies:• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.• Meticulous with good organisational skills• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player.We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates would be notified.For more information on careers in MDDI, please access the link (https://www.mddi.gov.sg/join-us/careers/life-at-mddi/).
