Job description

What The Role Is

You are responsible for monitoring and conducting deep research on terrorism and security-related issues, while producing threat assessments to support Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) operations and policy decisions.

What You Will Be Working On

  • Monitor, sense-make and conduct deep research on terrorism and security-related issues
  • Assess information from multiple sources to identify patterns, risks and emerging tactics and threats from extremist actors
  • Produce threat assessments, briefing and strategic reports to support the SAF operations and Policy decision-making
  • Supervise junior analysts


Challenge(s)

  • Processing large volumes of fragmented and sometimes contradictory information
  • Adapting quickly to an ever-evolving threat landscape
  • Producing timely and accurate reports


What We Are Looking For

  • Education in Strategic Studies, International Relations, Security Studies, Political Science, Terrorism Studies, International Relations or a related field
  • At least 6 years of relevant working experience in a training, teaching, research or HR capacity
  • Good analytical, planning and organisational skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good creative problem solving, decision making, strategic thinking and knowledge management skills
