Our client is a global leader in the live entertainment and events industry, known for delivering large-scale concerts, festivals, and cultural experiences across major cities in Asia. As part of their continued growth in Singapore, they are now looking for an Assistant Director, Operations to oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of their live events portfolio.
Job Description
- Develop event operation strategies that align with overall show budgets while ensuring seamless audience experiences.
- Lead detailed planning across scheduling, budgeting, logistics, and manpower management.
- Ensure operational deliverables are executed efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Act as the key liaison between internal teams, vendors, venue partners, and on-ground staff during event days.
- Oversee seating configurations, venue layouts, and operational logistics across multiple event locations.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and ticketing teams on announcements, on-sale timelines, and event information accuracy.
- Track operational metrics, licenses, and P&L status throughout project lifecycles.
- Manage operational teams throughout pre-production, onsite delivery, and post-event wrap-up.
- Foster collaboration between internal departments to ensure consistency in planning and execution.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to ensure high team performance under tight deadlines.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and venue developments to inform future event planning and budgeting.
- Maintain internal databases of show offers, artists, and venue capabilities to support decision-making.
- Conduct site visits and attend meetings as needed to ensure operational readiness and venue compliance.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, or related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in event operations, production management, or large-scale entertainment projects.
- In-depth understanding of Singapore's event regulations, venue operations, and safety requirements.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to multitask across multiple projects.
- Willing to work on weekends or after-hours based on event schedules.
